HATHA

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

Our Hatha Yoga class balances the dualities of relaxation postures and active, heat building postures while offering moments of reflection throughout practice. Students will benefit from multiple alignment cues and time to explore individual variations in each pose. This slow paced class is the perfect place to start a yoga practice as well as a place for seasoned practitioners to re-discover classic poses.

YOGA WALL

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

The Yoga Wall is a special yoga apparatus that utilizes a system of straps/belts and handles that provide support and stability at varying heights. The system is unique in its ability to help students deepen the sensation of lengthening, strengthening and stabilizing while performing yoga postures. Classes may be programmed to include a combination of floor work and work on the Yoga Wall and some full inversions may be offered. The yoga wall makes postures that seem out of reach for students, not only possible but obtainable!

VINYASA

experienced beginners to advanced

(Also offered as a hot class) This class offers flowing yoga sequences that are designed to build strength and flexibility. Poses practiced may include but are not limited to balancing postures, backbends, twists, arm balances and inversions. Suitable for all levels, some experience recommended.

SLOW FLOW

YOGA

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

A slower paced yoga practice that allows time to fully explore yoga postures. The practice will build heat through expanded sun salutations and gentle flowing sequences then transition to deeper stretches on the mat. Suitable for all levels.

STRETCH AND RESTORE

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

A combination yin and restorative yoga class, this class features a series of passive and long held stretches that benefit the connective tissues of the body. Releasing tension from muscles and joints, and calming the parasympathetic nervous system is the focus to allow freedom of movement and mindfulness. Many props such as bolsters, blankets and our Yoga Wall can be used to support the body and allow for full relaxation.
Suitable for all levels.

PILATES

MIXED EQUIPMENT & MAT CLASSES

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

Pilates is a physical fitness discipline that focuses on developing core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and provide essential support of the spine. Pilates exercises will help you achieve better posture, reduce muscular and joint pain, increase flexibility and achieve an overall healthier and more toned physique. Pilates is a fantastic cross training tool and will compliment all of your exercise programming!
Suitable for all levels.

MIXED EQUIPMENT WITH JUMPBOARD

SOME PILATES MIXED EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED

In this class students will utilize the Pilates Jump-board apparatus to add a cardiovascular endurance element to the Pilates Mixed Equipment class.

KINESIS CORE STRENGTH

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

By design this workout is both aerobic and muscular endurance based. It offers high calorie expenditure and keeps the participant in constant motion training utilizing the Kinesis Equipment. The Kinesis System is incredibly smooth, and allows the participant to work in all 3 planes of motion! OTAC is one of 300 facilities in the United States offering the state of the art Kinesis System!

BREATHE POWER CIRCUIT

SUITABLE FOR EXPERIENCED STUDENTS

For the more experienced student, this is a vigorous, circuit formatted class designed to target the whole body. Emphasis on core engagement, breath and posture; each session is spiced up by a multiple station format with the combination of cardio, strength and endurance. Come prepared to sweat and enjoy the pilates equipment in a new and challenging way! Minimum of 10 mixed equipment classes required
prior to attendance.

ALIGNMENT YOGA

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

(Level 1 emphasis on foundational poses & highly recommended for 1st time Yoga Participants, Level 2 emphasis will be on longer holds in postures and inversions) Alignment Yoga is characterized by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment in the practice of asanas (postures). The practice develops strength, mobility and stability in the body, calmness in the mind and expansion in the breath. With it’s step-by-step approach it makes use of the props such as straps, blocks and blankets and the Yoga Wall as aids in preforming the postures. This enables participants to perform the postures correctly minimizing the risk of injury or strain and making the postures accessible to all.
